#!&^$&^!^$^!&*$^*!^$*&!$^!!!!!

I’ve been fighting the trojan virus in my laptop for over a week now. It’s driving me crazy!!! Aaarrrggghhhh!!

I’ve tried several spyware/malware/adware/antivirus already but it doesn’t work. Does anyone have any experience with successfully removing this without formatting the whole drive?  Any feedback/suggestion/help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks much!

Sukakarya Village

Saturday, August 26th, 2006

*whew* Had a really tiring day but it was really well worth it.  We drove for 2 hours but it was more like an eternity because the road going to Suakakarya Village was so bumpy.

There were a total of 18 of us who volunteered for this particular day.  We were divided into 2 groups and I was tasked to lead the first group.  Throughout the course of the day, we became one team – united.  No need for instructions, everyone was just working their butt off.  J  They jokingly voted me as employee/worker of the day, but I think everyone deserves that title.  I think everyone worked so hard like they’ve never done before – ever!

We were given a target and we missed only one.  Did I mention we were 1 hour late?  =P  So maybe if we arrived on time we would have done far more than the target.

First, we were given the task to demolish the house in 1 hour.  We did it in 1 hour & 15 minutes.  Next, we were divided into 2 groups – one doing the foundation for the pillars and another one to carry bricks to position it all around the house so that the builders will have easy access to the bricks.  We were able to achieve the target number of pillars but we missed on the number of bricks.  By then, everyone was so sweaty and tired and drained already.  Added to the heavy work, we had only sandwiches for lunch.

I devoured so much food when I got home.  Ha ha ha  Oh no, I can see my diet in readiness for my Bali trip going down the drain.  =P  Who am I kidding?  I can’t keep any diet anyway.  Diet never equates to me.  I simply cannot resist food!  I’m always on see-food diet.  Anything I see, I eat!!!  =P

A colleague told me before; it would be extremely easy to poison me.  Since I love to eat so much, they like putting food on my table: cookies, chocolates, candies, etc.  Whenever I see the goodies, I just call out loudly who it is from and without missing a beat; yell thank you and start gobbling it up.  Ha ha ha

Eniwei.  That’s it for me for now.  I’m so sleepy.  I still want to get up early tomorrow to go to the marketplace before going to church.  J  And then I’m gonna get myself a llllooonnnngggg massage.  *sigh*  Can’t wait!!!  I miss my weekly massage in the Philippines.  J

Habitat for Humanity

Thursday, August 24th, 2006

I’m very much excited and looking forward to this coming Saturday.  I’m helping out Habitat for Humanity Indonesia to build a house (in one day) for people in Sukakarya Village, Bekasi Utara.  We will build from scratch; from demolishing to excavation to construction – beam & column work, wall construction, roof construction – the whole drill.

I have no doubt it will be arduous, wearing, strenuous, laborious, exhausting (have I said enough? He he) but it will be a lot of fun as well!!!  The most important thing though, is the fulfillment you’ll feel afterwards because you were able to help – how small it may seem.  J  What may seem small or even nothing to one person can mean the world to another person.

If you’d like to help, there’s still time to register.  To learn more, or to contribute your time, talents or gifts towards the efforts to eliminate poverty housing from the world, please contact:

Indonesia’s Independence Day

Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006

Just came back from a long weekend holiday due to Indonesia’s Independence Day (Hari Merdeka – directly translated – day freedom – to put it right: freedom day) and Isra Mi’raj Holiday – I think it’s a Muslim holiday.  They’re so big on Independence Day over here.  They have the Indonesian Flag all over the place.  They celebrate the day with lots of games and stuff, but mostly, most of them goes back home to their hometown to celebrate with family so you can definitely see less traffic and people here in Jakarta on most holidays.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t seem to recall Philippines having that much energy and vigor towards celebrating their Independence Day.  Or is it that I take things for granted and don’t take much notice back home?  Hmmm…  Because over here, everything is new to me and I absorb everything with gusto.  </spanJ

For friends in Philippines: I heard GMA made another one of her holiday “gimiks” so you guys had a long weekend as well.  Hope everyone had a nice and good rest.  J

By the way, I’ll be in Bali on October.  If you are planning to have a holiday on that particular month (paging OI! He he), do join us.  The more the merrier.  J  Although, don’t expect clean beaches in Bali, you’re there to explore the culture and other stuff, not for the beach – except if you’re big on surfing, then it’s the perfect place.  But in terms of the beach itself, I dare say that Boracay is still better than Bali!  J

Till here.  Da-da.  Have a blessed week!

“Sabog”…

Monday, August 14th, 2006

Do you have days that as soon as you wake up, you feel “sabog” and very much out of your wits? =P  You wonder why cause you’ve had at least 8 hours of sleep – you should have been well rested right? Today is one of those days for me.  I feel as if the world is going crazy all around me.  Good thing it lasted only until about lunch time.  *whew*

Maybe it’s because of the hangover of the weekend. That’s another thing.  Weekends should be rest days for most people right? But a lot of times I find myself doing more things and stressed out during the weekend than the weekdays. I had to go to Singapore again last week for business purposes. I was accompanied by a friend who hasn’t been to Singapore yet. Guess what?!?!  We walked for 4 hours nonstop along Orchard Road. Golly! My feet went numb from all those walking. The day after, I had to go to a birthday party of a friend - went home in the wee hours of the morning.  *sigh*  Too much to do with so little time. =P

I hope you guys had a better Monday morning than me. J  Have a great week ahead!!!
